To make this sweet & spicy salsa, the juicy recipe needs these just 7 healthy and yummy ingredients:

Mangos

Mangos, of course, it’s the main ingredient of my delicious recipe. Without mango our salsa is incomplete, any ripe mango you like to eat works here, but Ataulfo or Champagne mangos (pictured above) are my always first pick for this amazing recipe.

I prefer them to red mangos because they have a softer, smooth, juicier texture and sweeter flavor than the other mangos.

Red onion

Mango Sauce Recipe Variations

This mango sauce recipe is super flexible! Feel free to change it to your liking or use whatever you have on hand.

Here are some of my favorite variations:

Add avocado. Avocado makes our recipe more favorable, and better. Add 1/21 diced avocado for a richer, creamier sauce.  Pickle something.

Mango Salsa

For an extra-shiny and spicy salsa, replace raw jalapeños with pickled ones. Pickled red onions would also be great here!  Turn up the volume. Turn this mango salsa into a heartier salsa by adding 1/2 cup of cooked black beans and a few finely diced red bell peppers.

Tips for Serving Mango Salsa

This Mango Salsa recipe is perfect to enjoy the mango flavor. I love it on its own with tortilla chips, and it’s also a great way to spice up guacamole. Pour it over your next bowl of guac for a dip in disguise!   But your options for serving it don’t stop there.

Here are some of my favorite ways to use it:

On tacos. Pour it over these Vegan Fruit Tacos or any of these 11 Best Veggie Taco Recipes!  On a salad. Add a scoop to your next taco salad.  On the nachos. Top it off with these Stuffed Pompanos or Stuffed Peppers for a sweet and spicy flavor.

Mango Salsa

In burrito bowls. Start with a cilantro lime rice base and creamy pinto beans. Then, fill the bowl with fajita vegetables, guac, and a scoop of mango salsa. Add a drizzle of chipotle sauce or lime cilantro vinaigrette to cover it all up!
